Guided Duck Hunting

We leave the ramp long before shooting hours in a big Panther 20x9 airboat, with comfortable seating, so that we are set up for the hunt before shooting hours occur.

Depending upon the conditions, and the birds, we may make a fairly short boat ride, or a long one. Most rides out to the chosen hunting area are usually 30 minutes.

Captain Brent will set up the spread while the hunters gather their gear, get into the blind, and prepare for their hunt.

Once shooting hours occur, let the shooting begin!!

Your guide will be calling the shots, then send his retriever after the downed birds once the smoke clears. All you have to do is knock them down, then sit back and watch a top-notch dog do the rest! Half the fun is watching a well-trained dog work by listening to whistles and following hand signals on blind retrieves.

Shooting stops once limits of birds are achieved, or around 10am, depending upon the conditions.

Once the decoys are picked up, and some pictures are taken, you will head back to the docks where your guide will clean and package your birds for you.

UN-GUIDED DUCK HUNTS

Depending upon the conditions, and the birds, we may make a fairly short boat ride, or a long one. Most rides out to the chosen hunting area are usually 30 minutes.

Once you arrive at the blind chosen by your guide, you will grab your gear and put it in the blind. Your captain will give you 6-8 dozen decoys for you to use on the hunt and leave you alone to run your hunt as you please. You are responsible for setting up your spread, and also gathering them up before heading back to the dock.

Around 10am your guide will return to pick you up and carry you back to the dock, where you will clean your birds.

Unguided hunters are responsible for knowing their ducks, illegal ducks will be turned over to the game warden-no exceptions. If you do not know your ducks you need a guided hunt!!

2-20 hunters $150 per gun (un-guided)

CAST-AND-BLAST TRIPS

Same as our guided duck hunts, but you will be fishing soon as the last decoy is picked up once the hunt is over. You can fish from the comforts of the airboat with natural bait, or you may bring your own rod, tackle, and gear, to wade fish with artificial baits if you prefer. Primary species of fish caught during the winter months are redfish, but wade fishing may produce some speckled trout depending upon the weather conditions.

If you prefer to fish from the boat, all fishing equipment including bait, is provided for you!

Fishing time commences around 2pm, in which you will head back to the dock where your guide will clean and package all you have harvested during your trip.

Shotgun in soft case
2-3 boxes of shells 3 inch #2 or #4 non-toxic shot per hunter
All licensing including stamp endorsements, federal duck stamp, and hunters education card
Retriever if you have one on un-guided hunts
